Starting the New Year with a splash!

So chuffed that despite the increase in Covid infections due to the Omicron variant, we are able to go ahead with our 37th Swimarathon on 9th Janaury 2022. 98 teams signed up; first swim at 7am then up to 10 teams on each hour until and including 6pm; at the amazing new Braywick Leisure pool. All ages & all abilities involved; some new entrants; lots of keen volunteers; what's not to like - work as a team & keep fit swimming, raise money for your favourite good cause and Lions charities; it's a win/win for us all.

The on-line just giving campaign page www.justgiving.com/campaign/maidenheadlionsswimarathon2022 has already collected over £4.5k by midday on Weds 5th Jan and rising by more than £1000 per day.

Swimarathon 2020 raised over £40k; the postponed Swimarathon 2021 in July raised over £32k; we would be absolutely over the moon if we could match or even exceed either of those totals for Swimarathon 2022, our 37th, especially in these very strange times.
