Early November, every year, we take over the Desborough Suite of the Town Hall (courtesy of the Mayor) to put on a pre-Christmas fair for up to 40 local charities.  All the charities raise lots of funds for themselves on their stalls by selling goods or running raffles.

Lions also run a large tombola stall and a grand draw, with many donated prizes to raise funds for our charitable trust fund. We organise and promote the event and sell programmes at a small charge as an entrance fee

UPDATE:
We have not been able to hold this event for 2 years now as the Desborough Suite at the Town Hall, which has been our venue for many years, has been used for Covid vaccinations. We are hoping that we may be able to hold the fair this year.  This depends on whether or not the Covid virus has run its course and the Desborough Suite will become available for bookings.   

 

We will keep the website and Facebook page updated when we have more information.  The Combined Charities Christmas Fair is dedicated to local charities and gives them an opportunity to both raise funds and awareness of their cause.    It is also a great place to start your Christmas Shopping.  

 

We usually have around 30 stalls and there is a wonderful café run by a local women’s group.
