The members of the Lions Club of Maidenhead celebrated the start of a new 'Lions Year' at a garden party, during which our President for 2008/9, Lion Ed Filmore, handed the President's chain to his successor, Lion Peter Newbound.
The FunDrun takes place each year and gives teams the chance for some exercise whilst raising funds for their favourite charities.
The Lions Train makes an appearance at many events during the summer months.
The Duck Derby takes place each spring. Here the 3,000 plastic ducks start their sprint for glory.
At Christmas each year the Lions collect groceries outside our local supermarkets. After collection, the food is sorted and distributed to around 400 local families and individuals. In addition the Windsor Branch of the British Sugarcraft Guild donate their Christmas Competition cakes to our parcels.
The Lions distribute bottles for the 'Message in a Bottle' scheme at
